Spring House Restaurant

Summary

Spring House in Tenafly, NJ is the brainchild of a successful businessman with a passion for hospitality and wellness and his business partner, a veteran of the New York City restaurant industry. The owners’ goal was to attract a discerning clientele who recognizes quality food, impeccable service, and the opportunity to dine in a 230-year-old historic home with a Michelin-starred chef. The owners also wanted Spring House to become a destination for the community to gather. 3E PR, experienced in restaurant public relations, served up a pro-active campaign to achieve those goals.

Objectives

3E PR was tasked with promoting Spring House as a destination worthy of attracting locale clientele in addition to discerning New York City diners just across the river from its location. To do so, the 3E PR team used its restaurant public relations experience to harness the power of the press to raise awareness for this culinary newcomer. The owners’ goals for public relations included:

  • Encouraging dinner reservations at opening and subsequently for lunch and breakfast as those offerings unfold. Additionally, to promote the restaurant’s speakeasy/private lounge.
  • Focusing on the chef’s international training and commitment to locally sourced products with a menu that changes seasonally.
  • Promoting the unique location and historical architecture, including its prominence on the National Register of Historic Places.
  • Support social media with content from placements to creative viral posts.

Results

Press secured includes full-length profiles in the New York Post, and NJ.com, as well as three features in Bergen Record / NorthJersey.com. Additionally, 3E PR secured national placements in Forbes, Food & Wine, and Architectural Digest. Our outreach also included a feature in NJ Monthly while also contributing to the restaurant’s inclusion on the magazine’s top new restaurant list.

All key media placements were promoted on social media. In fact, three of the top posts on Spring House’s Instagram pages – including the top-performing post – in the first six months were from media placements.
